Your privacy is important to us. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app, SmartGroups.

Information Collection and Use

We only ask for personal information when we need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

Data Retention and Security

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with the best service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Information Sharing

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law. We do not support any kind of integration with popular social media platforms; we do not post to them, and you and others cannot post to them from within SmartGroups.

Your Responsibility

We advise everyone to be careful of any information that you provide to any app — whether it be SmartGroups or anywhere else. For example, if you take a picture in this app and share it with the people in a small group, someone else in your group could take a screenshot of a view containing the picture and post it on a public platform or website without your permission.

Privacy Controls

If you choose to provide information, you can control what information you would like for others to see within SmartGroups. No one outside any of your groups can see your information, with the exception of your organization’s overseers.

Deleting Your Account and Data

If you would like to delete your account or data, go to My Profile and choose “Delete account and data”. This will disable your account, remove your account, and delete your data. Data that cannot be deleted will be replaced with obfuscated text. For example, if “John Smith” deletes his account, his name will be replaced with something like “User 7753”.

Your Rights

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.

Your continued use of our app will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information.

Mobile Information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All OPT-IN requests include text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties.
